Myth 1: Microwaving food is dangerous.

This is one of the most widespread myths. There’s a lingering doubt in our minds that microwaving somehow destroys the nutrients in our food and, even worse, can lead to cancer, like ultraviolet rays or X-rays and Gamma rays. But the process of microwaving is non-ionizing i.e. it doesn’t free electrons in the food. It just heats through friction, by vibrating water and other polar molecules in the food. It does not change the structure of the food. Because it cooks so quickly, it actually preserves nutrients!
