Do we love them? Yes, we do.

Wondering who they are? We are talking about Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, who form 2CELLOS, who are classically trained musicians and belong to Slovenia and Croatia respectively.

These two former foes collaborated to form the band 2CELLOS and are famed for their instrumental arrangements of well-known pop and rock songs.

Šulić—the younger of the two by a year— attended the Academy of Music in Zagreb, and then studied in Vienna. Šulić later entered London’s Royal Academy of Music. After completing his studies at Trinity College in London, Hauser attended the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

They became a YouTube sensation with their video of Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal in January, 2011. They received over 3 million views in the first two weeks and by April 2011, it had crossed 10 million views. The video itself was simple, shot in a plain white room.
